πŸ’— Mandee’s Update β€” June 11, 2025

Surgery is officially one month away, and the countdown is filled with a mix of emotions.

“I feel confident everything will be just fine, but there’s still a lot of anxiety around it — and it’s only getting worse each day.”

Mandee is doing everything she can to stay grounded — focusing on what she can control, like prepping her home and leaning on her strong support system. Her mom, Jane, will be staying with her for a few weeks, and Darin has been incredibly supportive, riding the emotional waves right alongside her.

For everyone who has reached out with kindness and questions:

  • A meal train is in the works — she’ll be sharing the link once it’s live

  • Jane has also set up a Scentsy party to help raise funds

  • And our dear friend Cindy is donating all profits from custom t-shirts, hoodies, and tumblers to help cover medical expenses

“It’s not easy, and there’s still a long road ahead, but I’m thankful every day that we caught this early.”

Your continued love, prayers, and support mean the world.πŸ’—

πŸ’— Mandee’s Update β€” April 2025

The past month and a half has been an emotional roller coaster.

In early March, Mandee discovered a lump on her left side and brought it up during her annual exam. Her doctor quickly referred her for a mammogram and ultrasound. While checking the left side, doctors unexpectedly found a mass on her right side as well — something she hadn’t even noticed.

Biopsies were done on both sides. The good news: the left-side lump turned out to be a fibroadenoma, a non-cancerous condition common for women her age. The right side, however, revealed something more concerning — a precancerous mass.

Mandee met with a surgeon in hopes of leaving with a clear plan, but for now, the path forward remains uncertain. The next step is genetic testing to help decide whether she’ll undergo a prophylactic mastectomy or a lumpectomy.

In her words:

"In the meantime, I’ve learned to lean heavily on the people around me for emotional support — and to thank God for moving in mysterious ways."
